I included the DSi because I felt it was enough of an update to the DS that, while not a wholly new console, is definitely more substantial then the Game Boy Pocket, DS Lite, New 3DS, or the Switch Lite. If there were more Nintendo handhelds then I probably wouldn’t have included it. I didn’t include the Game Boy Colour because… I just forgot about it 😅. I’ll add it in to round out the answers to an even 8.
That's a completely understandable choice. Although that's the only console in the list which use the exact same cartridges than another one. If you truly needed another one, well...
Technically, the Virtual Boy is and handheld console too (more transportable than handheld in the end though). 🙃
That’s actually not entirely true. DS games that use DSi exclusive features (like the camera) have a black cartridge instead of the usual dark grey ones. There are also a very small number of physically-released games (3 I think?) that can ONLY be played on a DSi, which use a white cartridge. The reason there are so few physical DSi games is that Nintendo wanted DSi exclusives to be released onto the DSi Shop, which is where the bulk of the DSi’s library was.
The Virtual Boy is a great many things, but I hesitate to call it handheld. Maybe if I do a miscellaneous Nintendo console quiz lol.
Also, I'm probably wrong, but I feel like your DS picture is actually the one of a DS Lite.
Good idea of quiz, anyway. Et vive Nintendo!
