You forgot US, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, India, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and China.

The United States is only 30% semi arid. Mexico comes close to being a desert country but only 40% of it is. Peru only has 10%. Not sure about percentage but much less than half of Chile and Argentina, even though the Atacama and Patagonia are pretty large. India only has about 12%. China only is 28% desert. I can't find stuff for Ethiopia so I'm not including it. You are right about Kazakhstan and Mongolia although they are only semi-arid deserts: I'll add those for the sake of not being mean.

Funny / not funny, how it is 33 of 34 countries where I have no interest in traveling yet I have nothing against deserts.
