If you guys want a shorter version of the quiz you can play, try this! https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/298109/can-you-name-these-5-random-countries
This is not my map to begin with, this is the map for this quiz https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/6121/countries-of-the-world-with-an-empty-map I will tell the person who made that quiz about it, Thanks for the feedback!
Guadalupe and Martinique show up as tiny, tiny, tiny specks for the nation of France. I trudged through all the Lesser Antilles independent nations trying to get an answer to take.
40/50 and ran out of time. Most of the ones I missed I just couldn't see on the map as they were too small or maybe not even there. Couldn't see them even after being told which they were.
I am aiming for a sub 1-minute time, at the moment my second run was the fastest with 1:02 and I haven't really been able to come close to it since. I need a combination of short country names and making few typos which requires quite a bit of luck.
I was just typing the last small island I searched around for and ran out of time. 49 out of 50 only beats 43.8% of quiz takers. Pretty impressive bunch of brainiacs around here.
I got 46, and it says better than 50.3%, so some peabrains must have come in since you tried it! (The average is 40 apparently, but if I beat 50% doesn't that mean that I basically got the average? I'm not good at maths...)
but the 50% you beat will bring the average down more than the 50% you didn't beat. i.e. 10/50 brings down the average more than 48/50 brings up the average
Wow, yeah, there are some weird ones, just doing some back of the napkin math there are about 1,532,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 combinations, (2 ^ 196 / 1000)(The thousand part is to account for the fact that there has to be 50) the exact number does not really matter, the point is, there are a LOT of combinations!
I know, it was a lot more than I was expecting too! In short form it is about 1,532 quindecillion, which is so big that it is flagged as not being a real word, which infers that auto-correct thinks I am making a number up, which I find quite funny!
For the record, Cyprus looks more a part of Asia than ever on this game.
Thanks!
