Israel's capital has been Jerusalem, by law, since 1980. Because many other nations don't acknowledge Israel's sovereignty over Jerusalem, most embassies are in Tel Aviv instead. The US recently moved their embassy to Jerusalem, but not because of a capital change.

I still don't understand it. Can't people in North Korea visit fewer than 50 countries without a visa? Like, they can't visit ANY countries with...or without...one? Obviously I'm missing something here. I just can't figure out what, though. Guess my "dumb button" is stuck in the "ON" position. Again.

According to the 2020 Passport Index, a North Korean passport will get you visa-free entry into exactly 50 countries. Not that North Koreans can generally get passports at all... https://www.passportindex.org/byRank.php

Level 65
Feb 14, 2020
If you can trust passportindex.org, North Korea has a Mobility Score of Exactly 50. The thing with North Koreas passport is that it's barely ever issued, for obvious reasons, so even if you could visit some countries with a North Korean passport, you most likely won't have one anyways.

I think North Korea is missing. According to Wiki they can only visit about 10 countries without visa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_North_Korean_citizens (depending on what you mean "without visa")

+1
Level 66
Feb 14, 2020
North Korea can actually leave to 50 countries without a visa, but you are right, there are only 10 countries that don't require a visa at all. There is a difference between visa before departure and visa on arrival, in that case 40 countries. They probably counted that so. Obviously, as north korean, the problem is not where to get but how to leave :) . The same applies to Kosovo, 16 countries without a visa, 39 countries with visa on arrival, which makes 55. Source

Kosovo doesn’t have a legal passport as it isn’t a sovereign nation or recognized by the UN so not many countries recognize it either. Because of this, not many countries will accept a Kosovan passport.
