Countries with the highest average IQ

This is based on the dubious and controversial work of Richard Lynn. Among the conclusions in Lynn's book IQ and the Wealth of Nations was that Americans would have among the highest IQs in the world if you excluded certain immigrant and minority populations. This is inconvenient to those Europeans who like to point to the numbers, always taken from his work (no other analysis of worldwide average IQ scores has ever been attempted), out of context and without realizing where they came from. I'm not saying they're true. Like I said, the work is dubious and controversial and highly unscientific in many cases. But people are obviously interested in this subject and the inferences they can make from it, as it gets posted a lot.

Any IQ test properly calibrated will have a mean score of 100. If it's higher or lower than that you're not doing it right. And cross-cultural or international comparisons are almost meaningless.

Mongolia is on here because of Lynn's weak methodology of averaging scores from nearby countries to infer scores in countries where they had no data. The scores in China (where they did a handful of tests in prosperous urban area) came out high, and Russia's were fairly high, so Mongolia was ranked between them. Because... Mongolia.. Russia.. China.. what's the difference?
