Hallo! Let's test your knowledge on Germany! In this unique quiz, all the answers to geographical, historical, and cultural questions will be somewhere on the map. Hals- und Beinbruch!
Konstanz should not be accepted. It's the German spelling of the city of Constance, as in Germany no one refers to the lake as "Lake Konstanz", the German spelling is irrelevant as a type-in.
Hmm - absolutely right. I did not even look at the map when answering most questions and felt disappointed because my Borussia wasn't accepted. My bad!
Thing is in some cases it is accepted, in others not. Bodensee works for the lake, Bremer Stadtmusikanten works for the Art piece, but Pommern doesn't for the historical German/Polish region.
I guess either make German answers always work or never? (I'd prefer making them count)
Its in the art section and so it is the work that is needed not the town which is already given. There are two ‘this’ words so it is a little confusing.
The November Revolution was 1918. Goodbye Lenin plays during the fall of the Berlin Wall, which was 1989. Though it also happened in November, the "November revolution" is the one in 1918
Hi, love the quiz and I will nominate it. But one thing, pls make the thing for City Musicians of Bremen a bit more tolerant. Use „Bremer Stadtmusikanten“ as well, because its the more well known original name, or except things like Bremer city musicians and Bremen city musicians. I literally somehow typed everything except the right thing.
1. Dortmund is not the only city that is a home to a football team called "Borussia". E.g. Mönchengladbach is also such a city. Currently there are in total more than a dozen cities that are a home to a Borussia. Please be more specificor accept all these cities.
2. If you accept German names in other questions, like Nürnberg for Nuremberg or München for Munich, you have to accept it in all other questions. So please accept Pommern for Pomerania.
3. The Ring of the Nibelung isn't perform annualy. There are years, where it isn't performed at all. And why just Walküre??? Why not the whole cycle? Or other parts as well (Rheingold, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung)?
Besides Dortmund and Gladbach there are also Neunkirchen, Fulda, Friedrichsfelde, Bocholt, Freialdenhoven and Lindenthal-Hohenlind who have Borussia in its name.
Also it is not the point knowing where the city lies but to answer the question and these can be the answers for that question.
I said it on the Italy quiz already, but I'll reiterate – the map design is just... not good. The usual standard on Jetpunk is that guessed items turn bright green, like the battles category in this quiz. But the colour coding is all over the place here, which makes it really hard to figure out what you're missing in the end. In some items the colour change is basically undetectable (castles), some don't change colour at all (seas and neighbouring countries), and those colours that do change seem picked at random (why not turn everything green?). The design also doesn't make it clear that neighbouring countries are even being asked for until you scroll down to the answer boxes, and the Alps are barely visible against the background colour. Other than that, fun quiz, but standardising the design would be a major QoL upgrade.
Underrated map though

However, the time limit was luckily generous enough to always try different spellings, so I managed 41/41 points in the end.

The town asked for is Bremen, but it doesn't work. Question should ask for the title of the story, not the location.
Note - Bach was a composer not a compositor !

It's commonly referred to as varian disaster or varian defeat. Or if you want the german name it's Varusschlacht
