I felt the same about vermillion (to me it's a reddish orange rather than an orange-ish red!) but I guess colours are subjective :)

Similarly, I've always considered turquoise to be a greenish shade of blue, which has caused endless arguments with a close friend who sees it as a blueish shade of green :')

I would argue Amber is a bit ambiguous between orange and yellow.

After looking it up, multiple sources claim: "The color amber is a pure chroma color, located on the color wheel midway between the colors of yellow and orange."
