A great quiz!

Was it ever mentioned in the episode, though, that it was the Thieving Magpie? (And it was an overture to an operetta, and therefore not, strictly speaking, a song, but that's nit-picking, I know.) Incidentally my favourite use of classical music in anything ever.

I believe it was mentioned in one of the DVDS in either commentary or interview, but not in the episode itself. However, there are other references to magpies within (the letter seal is a magpie, for example). I have changed the phrasing of the question to 'music' rather than 'song' to be more accurate. I am glad you enjoyed the quiz!
