What If the British Empire Reunited Today?

The past few weeks have been the celebration of Independence for many countries from the British Empire (I think). So what I thought is what would happen if it reunited today with the exact same borders it had in its territorial peak in 1921. This is exactly what happens when you run out of ideas.
First, what we need to think about is the amount of land and where the British would have. The empire would have a total population of 2.6 billion people which would make it the largest country by population ever. The land would be extremely scattered all around the globe in every single continent, Yes even Antarctica. The most valuable possession of the British would probably be India as it is a powerhouse of the world already. Most of the biggest cities in the empire would be in either Pakistan or India; here is the list of the top 10 biggest cities:
1. Delhi (30,300,000)
2. Mumbai (25,100,000)
3. Cairo (21,000,000)
4. Dhaka (20,200,000)
5. Lagos (19,400,000)
6. Karachi (17,800,000)
7. Kolkata (16,800,000)
8. London (14,800,000)
9. Johannesburg (13,900,000
10. Lahore (13,000,000)
(Thanks to GrandOldMan who created the list for me)
The capital city of the empire would be hard to choose, however, London is already the capital of the United Kingdom and was the historic capital of the empire in 1921, so that would be the most obvious choice.
Next, we need to look at the GDP of the empire. The GDP of the entire empire would be about 16 trillion USD if you just added all of the GDP of all of the countries in the empire together. That would put the empire in #2 place just behind the USA. However, the GDP per capita would be far below the global average with only $4000 USD mostly due to the impoverished areas of Myanmar, the middle east and other countries in Africa.
Overall, it looks like the British would be an extremely powerful country but just behind the United States. It would most likely become a world power Despite all of this, the empire would be very unstable in mostly Middle East areas with an ongoing civil war in Yemen, and Hundreds of terrorist groups in Iraq fighting for control over the country. The British Empire would probably be a powerful juggernaut that was never supposed to be created. At least it solves the problems between Pakistan and India.
Anyway, that wraps it up there, it would be interesting to think how it will all unfold but this is my prediction. You could think something completely different but it still could be possible. It is hard to imagine what the British Empire would be like in the modern world, maybe annoy France, maybe gain more colonies, I am really not sure! I hope you enjoyed this first blog of mine and I can't wait to do more. Have a good day and BYE!!
