Interesting how, despite its variety, parties are still able to crack a near-majority now and then.

I'm more than sure that BJP will get more than 40% next year. Their popularity is rising, especially in the cow belt.

What is that belt? Also, many times they get more seats than votes.

I'm just faster than you, it seems. 👿

I wanted to but it limited me to add only 10 parties. It's also not a national party.

I LITERALLY FINISHED ALL THE PARTIES I JUST HAD TO CALCULATE 5 MORE OTHER SLOTS BUT I WENT TO SLEEP

I combined all the communist parties together therefore giving me an extra. They do operate in 2 states.

Both CPI and CPI(M) are recognised as national parties even though their percentage of votes has dropped significantly. TPD (and other South Indian parties) aren't. I omitted NPP because it, despite being a national party, has a very small share.

Other exceptions made because I am from the North 😉
