The Indian Music Industry (IMI) publishes a weekly chart of "International Top 20 Singles" based on online stream counts from Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify, with the chart updating every Monday

Songs with the largest number of appearances within the top 10 have been included

April version

We Indians still love sleeper hits! Of the 10 songs here, only 2 were released in 2023. Calm Down (Remix) continued as #1 well until mid-May when it started to fall down. It still stands strong at #5 with two-thirds of year having passed!

One should note the heroic rise of Cupid (2023) by South Korean girl group Fifty Fifty. Debuting at #3 and then dethroning Calm Down, albeit for a short time, it eventually fell down within 14 weeks. It stands out among all the songs as the only non-English one.

Like before, Night Changes (2014) by One Direction is still a favourite. Die For You (Remix) by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande is another song from 2023 to be on the chart. The original version from 2017 became famous on TikTok and then the remix was recorded this year.

While this hasn't been shown on the chart, a Russian language song by the name of "Отключаю телефон" by Instasamka made it into the Top 10 at #9 on 27th week. Another non-English song to achieve such a feat.

It however stayed in the Top 10 only for a week.

It should be noted that Cupid did not make it into the leaderboards but Cupid (Twin version) did. While the original song is entirely in the Korean language, the Twin version is in English. It was this "Twin version" that went viral internationally, particularly due to TikTok.

Hence, all the songs featured in the chart above are in English only.
