The Challenge

Now that there are ten of you left, it's time for the fifth challenge!

This challenge is different from other contests! It is a minigame challenge! There are various minigames for you to play, and the team who wins the most will be safe from voting tonight!

Game #1: The Election Game

Both teams are running to be the next Jetpunk president! Here's how the game works:

-Each team has 100 "vote points" (VP)s.

-You are to distribute the 100 VPs among the US states in any way that you want.

-The total number of VPs that you must have for the entire nation is 100.

For instance, you could place:

-10 VPs in Connecticut

-20 VPs in Ohio

-30 VPs in Michigan

-40 VPs in California

However, this isn't a good strategy, as you would only win four out of 50 states.

-Whichever team places more VPs in a state wins all the electoral votes for that state.

-Whichever team gets more electoral votes wins!

-To confirm the amount of VPs you are giving to each state, create a quiz where you show how many VPs you are giving each state. Add your teammates to collab on the quiz so they can give their input. Then, collab the quiz with me.

Here are the number of electoral votes per state:

What is your strategy? Are you putting all of your VPs on the most important states, or are you diving them more evenly? It is up to your team to decide a strategy.

Game #2: Family Feud

There are several prompts you have to answer. Each person will have to give a different answer for each prompt. Your answer is worth several points. Whichever team has the most points wins!

Prompts: Everyone must give an answer for each prompt. No repeats.

1. Name a word that rhymes with election.

2. Name something that you might do only once a week.

3. Name a place that's filled with people who don't want to be there.

4. Name something that might be referred to as a dead end.

5. Name something that some people are afraid to ride in.

Game #3: Word-Finding

Make as many words as you can with the following letters. The words must be at least three letters long and be a valid Scrabble word. Whichever team finds more words wins this game. Here are the letters:

AGHILMORT

Game #4: Choose A Number

In this game, you will be put head-to-head against another player. You must choose a number from       1-5. Whoever plays the highest number wins... except if the number is one less than what your opponent played. Whichever team gets 3 points wins this game!

Here is what each number does:

5: Beats 1, 2, 3.  Loses to 4

4: Beats 1, 2, 5. Loses to 3

3: Beats 1, 4. Loses to 2, 5

2: Beats 3. Loses to 1, 4, 5

1: Beats 2. Loses to 3, 4, 5

Matchups:

Jato vs Rockum99

Nickelz vs superquizzer

MindWax vs Nazgul

ItzIngenious vs Insaniot

Jetpunker180 vs Kingsfisher

Game #5: Priorities

This game is very similar to Game #1.

You and your team are miners digging for gems. You can only dig one gem at a time. Whichever team digs a gem first earns the gem. Each gem is worth a particular amount of points. Whichever team earns more points wins!

To do this challenge:

Choose a team captain. The captain, with help from the teammates will devise a list of the order in which they will "dig" the gems. Whichever team has a gem appear in their list first wins that gem.

Here are what each gem is worth:

Diamond gem = 13 points

Emerald gem = 12 points

Gold gem = 11 points

Silver gem = 10 points

Bronze gem = 9 points

Red gem = 8 points

Orange gem = 7 points

Yellow gem = 6 points

Green gem = 5 points

Cyan gem = 4 points

Blue gem = 3 points

Purple gem = 2 points

Pink gem = 1 point

You need 46 points to win.

Example:

Team A

1. Silver

2. Diamond

3. Gold

4. Bronze

Team B

1. Diamond

2. Bronze

3. Silver

4. Gold

In this case, Team A wins the Silver and Gold gems. Team B wins the Diamond and Bronze gems.

Ties are possible. In that case, both teams split the points of that gem.

In the end, if there is a 45.5 - 45.5 tie, then the team with the Diamond gem wins.

Game #6: Taxman

This game is similar to the Taxman game in Jetpunk. The objective of the game is simple: collect as many electoral votes as possible. Here's how it works:

-Select a state.

-Once you select a state, you collect all of its electoral votes.

-However, all the states that border it go to me, the taxman. When this occurs, you can no longer choose those states.

-For example, if you choose Idaho, then Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana go to me, and all of those states can no longer be chosen by you.

-Continue until all the states were either chosen by you or went to me due to bordering a state chosen by you.

-Whichever team manages to collect more electoral votes wins!

-For the purposes of this game, Colorado and Arizona do not border each other. Neither do Utah and New Mexico.

Here are the electoral votes for each state:

#7: Take a Chance

The results of games 1-6 will be reviewed. Every time a team wins a game, they will earn one point. Whichever team wins more points wins immunity!

However, there is one more twist.

You can take a risk if you would like. You DO NOT have to take this risk.

Here is the risk:

-You will choose a letter from A-H. Tell me which letter you are choosing in a private message with only me.

-FOUR of those letters will lead to earning an immunity idol.

-TWO of those letters will lead to earning an extra vote.

-TWO of those letters will result in your instant elimination from this game.

-In other words, you have a 3/4 chance of survival.

-However, if you take this risk, you remove one point of this challenge from your team. This could affect the overall outcome of this challenge.

-You will not know how many points each team has.

-I will tell you the results of the letter you picked in a private chat.

Enjoy the challenge! You have until Wednesday, December 6, at 11:59 PM PST, to play.

On Thursday, December 7, the results of the challenge will be released. The losing team will vote on Thursday, December 7, and Friday, December 8.

Challenge #6 will be released on Saturday, December 9, Sunday, December 10, or at the very latest, Monday, December 11.

Land borders, not water borders. Illinois does not border Michigan.

Seems like an odd question. You can't walk from one to another, can you (without crossing through any other states, I mean)?

If it were up to me, I certainly wouldn’t consider them bordering, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
