U.S. States Viewer Voting #9

Hi! Gekko0923 here. I'm hosting a new series called "U.S. States Viewer Voting." In this series, you viewers vote for a state based on the voting mode. There are several voting modes, including voting to eliminate and voting to save, among others. Depending on the voting mode, one of the states will be eliminated. The states have been divided into 5 groups of 10 based on alphabetical order. Last time, Group 4 was UFE.

In Episode 8 of this series, Group 4 was up for elimination. You guys ranked the states from best to worst. Today, the two states with the lowest average scores will be eliminated!

Okay. Group 4, let's begin!

SC: Hey North Carolina, want to make a bet?

NC: You're on!

SC: If I get a higher score than you in this elimination, you have to remove the Charlotte Hornets from the NBA and give me an NBA franchise. I can already see it: My new NBA team will be called the Charleston Chargers!

NC: The Hornets suck, anyway. But at least having an NBA team is a reminder that I am a BETTER state than you are. If I win this bet, your college team can say goodbye!

SC: Bring it on!

Gekko0923: Well, that was interesting. Anyways, the first state safe is Oregon, with an average rank of 2.73! The lowest rank you got was 6th, and seven out of the ten voters listed you in first or second! Congratulations!

WA: Wow, Oregon! You're such an amazing state! You're, like, the best state in this whole nation!

(California, Texas, New York, and Florida are slightly annoyed by this comment)

FL: OOOOOOHH! WASHINGTON LIKES OREGON! OMG!

CA: Florida, leave my friends alone! They didn't even do anything to you!

FL: (scoffs) Watch out, Washington and Oregon. When I force California to be eliminated, there will be no one left to protect you, and I can ship you two as much as I want!

Gekko0923: Can everybody who is not in Group 4, just leave! You're disrupting the elimination ceremony!

WA: Sorry.

FL: We will meet again, California. Very soon.

Gekko0923: Let's continue. Pennsylvania is the second one safe, averaging a rank of 4.18.

NY: What? Pennsylvania got a higher score than me? But I"m his older brother! He's just my follower!

PA: Uh, New York, I'M the older brother, remember? Also, I thought you wanted me to be your friend. You even asked me to join California's alliance.

NY: I mean, yeah, but it's not like I want you to be "better" than me.

PA: That's weird.

Gekko0923: Surprisingly, New Mexico got third, with an average rank of 4.64!

NM: Thanks!

Gekko0923: North Carolina and North Dakota are safe with average ranks of 4.82 and 4.91 respectively!

NC: Haha! I won the bet! Say goodbye to your college team!

SC: Wait! NO! The bet is off! PLEASE NO!

Breaking News: The South Carolina Gamecocks have been banned due to skill issue!

SC: SKILL ISSUE? What does that even mean? North Carolina, what have you done?

NC: I banned your college sports team, forever!

ND: Hey Carolinas, why do you two always argue with each other? Me and South Dakota got along well, why can't you guys?

NC: You. are. a. bad. liar.

ND: ??????

NC: Don't look at me like that.

Gekko0923: New York is sixth with an average rank of 5.45!

NY: Finally! Took you long enough to say that.

SC: NOOO! First I lose my college team, now I might even get eliminated! This is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!

RI: I'm so scared! I don't wanna go yet!

OH: Well, I just know that my memelords are going to save me here.

Gekko0923: Actually, Ohio, they're not, because you got the worst score, a 6.55! Any last words?

OH: NO! Don't eliminate me. I promise you, my memes are not getting old. Please give me another chance!

Gekko0923: Goodbye, Ohio.

SC: LOL. Does that mean Rhode Island and I are safe?

Gekko0923: Not quite. Remember what I said last time? This is a double elimination. One more state must leave us today. On that note, I must say, this vote was very close. The state that was safe got an average rank of 5.82, the one that was eliminated got an average rank of 5.91. The last state safe is...

SC: Phew! That was close!

Sorry, Rhode Island, you've been eliminated!

RI: Well, goodbye everybody! It was fun to compete, even for a short while.

Gekko0923: Goodbye to the meme state and the smallest state. One of you will be missed. Which one? I guess we'll never know.

Note: None of the 13 Western states have been eliminated yet. Also, since 10 states have been eliminated, the states remaining are the top 80%!

CO: (looks at Wyoming) Her mountains and landscape are so pretty, right guys?

UT: He's talking about Wyoming. You should stop pretending like she doesn't exist. Her population is going to be hurt by your unnecessarily humor.

KS: Oh, so I hurt nobody then. Cool.

UT: (sighs) Well, Colorado, you should tell Wyoming that you like her. You guys look so similar, anyway.

KS: And you said MY humor was bad.

UT: That wasn't a joke.

CO: Utah, I think you're right. I'll go talk to her right now.

(As Colorado approaches Wyoming, Montana comes)
WY: Hi, Montana!

MT: Hi, Wyoming! How are you doing!

WY: Oh, nothing much has been going on around here, as usual, except for those annoying people who pretend that I don't exist.

MT: Don't worry, Wyoming. I will stand up for you.

WY: Thanks. You're one of my only real friends, Montana.

(Colorado walks away.)

CO: (to UT and KS) Guys, Wyoming was already talking to Montana. What if she likes him instead of me?

KS; Don't sweat it, my friend. There will be many more opportunities to talk to Wyoming. And don't worry about Montana.

Meanwhile...

FL: Alabama, I've chosen two new recruits for our alliance. Louisiana and South Carolina. With North Carolina already in our group, that makes five of us.

AL: OH! I've got the perfect alliance name. FLANS(Florida/ Louisiana/Alabama/North Carolina/South Carolina)!

FL: That sounds... horrible, to be honest, but we'll work on it.

AL: I just have one question though.

FL: What is it?

AL: Why are North Carolina and South Carolina in the same alliance? Don't they hate each other?

FL: I kinda want them to get along. If the Southern states are going to win, we need to stay together.

AL: Alright.

Up in the Midwest...

MI: Yes! Ohio is finally eliminated. No more old memes!

KY: I'll admit, those memes were getting a bit repetitive. I'm kinda worried about getting eliminated, though. Many of the states around me are getting picked off, one by one. Three out of my seven neighbors are eliminated!

MO: You think that's bad? I have eight neighbors, four of which are eliminated. I could be next.

MI: That's why I was thinking that the three of us should be friends.

KY: Perhaps Illinois can be our friend as well?

MO: Kentucky, Illinois is the worst. She's way too self-absorbed. I try to avoid her as much as possible, but that's hard, considering that we're neighbors. This friendship group should stay within the three of us for now.

Gekko0923: Now it's time to decide who is up for voting. Instead of choosing a group to be UFE, each group must vote on who they want to be eliminated. The person on each group with the most votes will be eliminated. Let's start with Group 1.

FL: Obviously, I vote California. He thinks that blue states are so much better, but they're not, to be perfectly.

AL: As Florida's ally, I vote for California too.

CA: I vote Florida. You're such a hypocrite, your animals are horrible, and hurricanes hit you every year.

GA: I agree with California. I vote Florida.

FL; You see, Georgia, this is why no one in the South likes you.

CT: I also vote for Florida, to be honest. I feel safer allying with California in the long run.

FL: Alaska, you're a red state. Vote for California.

AK: Fine. I vote California.

AZ: Well, I vote California, since California hogs my water supply.

Gekko0923: That leaves Colorado. Colorado? Colorado! COLORADO!!!

CO: (looks away from Wyoming) Oh, sorry. I vote Florida.

Gekko0923: That's a 4-4 vote for Florida and California. Since they tied, both of them are UFE!

FL: You will regret this, all four of you who voted for me!

Group 2:

KY: I vote Illinois.

IL: How dare you! What did I do to you to deserve this?

KY: Umm, not much, but I just felt like voting for you.

IL: (scoffs) Then I vote for you, Kentucky! >:)

LA: Maine. She's just really boring.

ME: Can you just acknowledge the fact that I DO have some unique traits about me, please? Also, I vote for you.

IA: I vote Illinois. You're just really bossy.

MD: I vote Maine since she said she doesn't like crabs.

ME: When did I ever say that?

MD: Louisiana told me you said that.

ME: I did NOT. Louisiana tricked you, you little fool!

MD: Oops.

HI: Wait, Maine doesn't like crabs? Then I vote for her as well.

ME: Seriously?

KS: I vote for Illinois, since Iowa and I are friends.

IL: Grrr...

Gekko0923: That's three for Illinois, three for Maine. Idaho, you're the only one who hasn't voted. What's your final choice?

LA: Idaho, Maine said she doesn't like potatoes.

ID: WHAT? Maine, this is unacceptable. Have fun being up for elimination. I vote for you.

ME: WHYYYY? I never said that. Please, please, please change your vote!

ID: ....No.

Gekko0923: Maine is up for elimination! Let's move on to Group 3!

MA: I vote New Hampshire, since he's Maine's friend.

NJ: I agree. New Hampshire should be out!

NH: Well, I think that Massachusetts is a big threat to win the game, I am voting for him. Anyone with me?

MI: Nope. I vote you, New Hampshire.

MN: Same here.

MO: If Michigan is voting New Hampshire, then so am I!

NV: Down with New Hampshire!

MT: Down with New Hampshire!

Gekko0923: Well, that was a really easy choice. Onto group 4!

NC: South Carolina is really annoying.

SC: I could say the same thing about you.

Gekko0923: So I assume you two are voting for each other?

NC and SC: Yes!

ND; Hang on, you two. South Dakota and I want you guys to get along with each other. Having a sibling is a real gift, so you guys should enjoy it!

NC; Hehe. Never. >:)

NY: Speaking of siblings, I vote Pennsylvania. I'm still upset he got a higher score than me. That's so unfair! I'm OBVIOUSLY better than him.

PA: (sighs) You're so immature, it's annoying. You know what? I am not going to join California's alliance just because of you. North Dakota, want to vote New York with me? It'll make the Carolinas safe.

ND: Sure.

NM: I vote for New York as well, since he shares part of his name with me.

OR; I vote North Carolina, since New York is California's friend.

Gekko0923: That means that New York gets the most votes, at three! Finally, we have Group 5!

WY: Texas, do you think that I exist?

TX: Who said that?

WY: Ugh. I vote for you.

UT: I vote Texas as well. You guys should stop pretending like Wyoming doesn't exist.

SD: Utah is such a nerd. Let's get him out, everyone! All who vote for Utah, say aye!

TX: Aye!

VA: Well, I vote West Virginia, and I bet he's voting for me.

WV: Yeah, I'm voting you, because I don't like you.

WA:I vote for West Virginia, since Virginia is just better at everything.

VT: And I.... vote for myself, so that no one will be mad at me!

Gekko0923: With that, we have a tie. Texas, Utah, and West Virginia, you guys all have two votes. So to settle this, all three of you will be up for elimination!
