My New Blog!

My name is HighPriest57. I’ve been a proud JetPunker for nearly 6 years now and am excited to start a new blog on the site. You may have seen my Treatise on the World blog and may be wondering who I am so I should introduce myself.

I am a sophomore at TCU (Texas Christian University) in Forth Worth, Texas, and am majoring in creative writing/journalism.

I first found JetPunk as a freshman in high school and was instantly hooked by the volume of quizzes and easy to use webpage. Since that day, I have continuously stuck with it and owe the deepest gratitude to the H Brothers for keeping JetPunk awesome.

I am a self-published author of a book of philosophical and satirical essays and am currently working on a novel as of right now. I have also worked with many aspiring screenwriters and have delved into the world of film production and screenwriting; I work on writing scripts for both movies and TV shows, whichever strikes my fancy. I am also a HUGE fan of everything science fiction (I doubt you’ll find a more hardcore Star Wars fan than me). I am an avid photographer, though not very good at it, but enjoy it nevertheless.

My dream is to visit all 196 (UN recognized) countries of the world; I’ve only made it to 23 so far. I am very into geography and enjoy discussing it and visiting other places where I can delve into unique cultures and enjoy some phenomenal nature.

I was the host of a now defunct podcast called 49 Down (an allusion to the fact that I have visited all 50 states except for North Dakota; I just can’t find a time to go) where we discussed all things geography and philosophy and compiled rankings and threw out random bits of trivia.

I used to blog on a previous site until I discovered JetPunk had a blogging feature, and I decided that maybe it was time for a fresh start in a new community that I was somewhat familiar with.

What I hope to bring to the JetPunk blogging community is a sense of fun (not that this community isn’t fun already) as well as philosophical musings that make you think, whether that be through philosophical debates, funny stories, or chats about geography. I’ve been looking through previous blogs and noticed that there is not a lot of Geography Rankings compared to other things, so I hope to help bring that up to speed.

I’m just here because it’s a fun way to share ideas, lists, and stories with other people across the 🌎, and because I hope to be an asset to the community.

QUICK NOTE: I do upload frequently; maybe a couple times per week. Not for awards in The Blog Games (although they are certainly welcome) or popularity, but to just interact and engage in the community. You’re welcome to either read or not read, I just don’t want it to be weird if my name pops up a lot.
