What's This About
I just hit level 65! I believe that is the top 1% of all users! I went through the website and saw that inactive accounts get deleted after one year, unless they've submitted content. In a halfhearted attempt to save this account in case I abandon it for one reason or another (which I have no plans to) I am writing a placeholder blog. Maybe this counts as submitting content and I'm future proofing. Maybe it doesn't. Might make a quiz soon too just to be sure. I'd be upset if I lost this account.
I'm also curious what level the current active user is at. I know the percentile breakdown exists, but is that specifically active users? I'd guess the people who are still here after all these years are probably pretty high levels as well. I've been doing this a while, and I had some periods are barely used JetPunk, but it took a long time to get in the 99% club!
If you mean just explain percentiles broadly, percentiles are a measure of the percent below where you are. For instance, if you see you are in the 25th percentile, that means 25% of the data is below that value.
As a random example, if someone is in the 78th percentile of JetPunk user levels, that means their level is higher than 78% of users on the website.
