Overview

In this blog, we'll be showing the top 5 users per language as of December 2021. This means showing the total takes achieved in a specific language. In essence, it is a language-specific version of the User Index page.

Unfortunately, this takes a long time to calculate so cannot be a permanent addition to the aforementioned page.

Also, I won't be commenting on these, they are provided for information and discussion. As usual, only featured languages are included.

Very interesting. I can imagine it would take a while, so great job at being able to find these statistics.

I find it interesting that, even though he only has 1 quiz for each, QM is first for both Dutch and Portuguese. I'm not really familiar with these, but I assume that these quizzes would be alternative "Countries of the World Quiz" quizzes in those specific languages?

They are. I can confirm that unfortunately 97% of Portuguese section is QM, Stewart, IAB, or jpedrocm. The other 3/5 are innactive users with 1, 2, 3 or 4 features. Hopefully the community grows with gustavo11 getting two features (+1 in English). Maybe if thailand invest on SVGS, and I give a little break from blogs making more quizzes. 99% of Portuguese quizzes are mere translations of English ones, no offense to all the users quoted, their work is outstandly good, but there is no diversity and new stuff on Portuguese homepage. We need to follow the example that our French and Polish friends gave us.

I was writing it because in the French top, none of the users presented don't have French as mother tongue excepting (probably, we can't be sure) katsudk, who is completely inactive for almost three years.

And Aficionado is the best in Hindi (idk what language Geo, SWAT, and KingEureka says lol), like ZooTuber is the best with Bulgarian ancestry, and BGG is the best living in Reading... and I'm the best for being the worst. #QUADLIFE

Well, I have made only three Hindi quizzes each with 2 takes (that too are copies of the English version). That totals as 6 takes of which 3 are mine and 3 are from Thread. And SWATkun has two Hindi quizzes with a total of 32 takes. So, I'm second. 😅

Really surprised you (Stewart) didn't make the cut. The Portuguese section is dying slowly like I said above, and is possibly the less "lucrative" here (or maybe the paper goes to Dutch one). The fact Quizmaster is on the top of the majority of them with 1 quiz (although being a translation of COTW) is funny though lol

I was not expecting to be close to the top 5, but it looks like I’m less than 1,000 takes shy of the number five spot in Spanish. That surprises me

Maybe this blog will encourage others to branch out and make more quizzes in other languages they speak besides

Do you have the number of the users in each language? Like, 15,000 in English, 5,000 in French, 2,500 in Polish...?

The number of users who have made a quiz in the language:

Dutch - 224

English - 29,043

Finnish - 215

French - 2,743

German - 854

Italian - 187

Polish - 2,622

Portuguese - 442

Spanish - 543

Any other language - 514

In total, 35,267 users have made a quiz.

The Italian numbers really surprise me. 442 users in Portuguese really decreases a bit my shame. And the way French and Polish worked on JetPunk is the reason of these numbers.

Finnish is because QM doesn't own the countries of the world quiz. Other languages, one of the -punk accounts own it (still owned by QM), but like in Polish, SaturnPL owns the majority of other quizzes, so they go ahead of QM. Same thing with Spanish.
