The word "arena" derives from "harena", the Latin word for sand. In ancient Roman times, gladiatorial arenas would be covered with sand to absorb the blood that was shed there.
Hmmm, doesn't anyone else find the US government owning 79.6% of the land in the same state as Area 51 suspicious? Like how do we know it's not a training ground for a government-funded alien army that's gonna take over the US?
The federal land is Nevada is definitely not "parks." My father worked for the BLM out there for years and always had amusing stories about how well the feds "manage" the land.
As Nevada has been used for hundreds of Nuclear Bomb tests, both air and underground, I should imagine a great area of Nevada is contaminated and out of bounds.
If the government is funding this "alien army," creating said army to do its bidding, it can't be to take over the government - why/how would the government take over itself? Our concern should be that we outdated human drones will be replaced by more efficient and reliable alien army drones! ;-)
Re 322: The name "Cartagena" seems to be an amalgam of the city's Latin name "Carthago nova" (as it was called in Ancient Roman times). This in fact means "New New Town", since Carthago is a latinised form of the Punic Qart Hadash, meaning New Town.
#322 is a stretch. By the time Spain founded Cartagena in Colombia, do you really think they still considered themselves Carthaginians? If you stretch this logic out far enough, anywhere outside of Ethiopia is a "colony."
