"Blue zones" are areas with a large number of people who live to age 100 or older. Many people have written about the supposed healthy lifestyle of these areas. But
new research has shown that these blue zones may not be real. In fact, they could actually have lower life expectancies, in addition to lower incomes and higher crime. All those people living to 100? It's possibly just the result of bad record-keeping and pension fraud.
While there were some rare ancient societies that practiced some version of free love, the much more common practice was elite men taking women by force, killing their rivals if necessary.
Monogamy was a vast improvement over previous systems. Places that still practice polygyny tend to be terrible for women and for non-elite men.
Marriage is bad. Polygamy is worse. Both are tools used to subjugate women and advantage elite men. One is just a form of the other that makes this even more explicit.
You must be very sure of your facts.
Good for you.
