Articles aren't normally required. Usually I can type something like "naked dead" or "naked and dead".

Articles are not required at the beginning of a clue. We are pretty consistent with this. I don't want to start accepting answers without any articles because that would establish a precedent that we must always do that, and would require changing thousands of quizzes potentially.

A glyph is a symbol, not a letter. Perhaps use a more modern word, such as 'email' or the word 'message' in place of the word glyph?

Not all synonyms are exact. Letters are subsets of glyphs.

you are thinking of letter as the thing you write and put in an envelope, not letter as in one of those 26 symbols of the alphabet.

James Joyce wrote a book called Ulysses. Ulysses is a Latin variant of Odysseus (from the Iliad and the Odyssey)

I dont't see how that is funny or brilliant. Not better than the other clues (more boring imo, since it is nearly a translation)

@Sifhraven Here once again to rain on people’s parades. They enjoy this reference because it’s a funny translation of a great piece of literature. Lighten up a bit!

'Starving' is an adjective whereas 'hunger' is a noun. It should be 'Starvation Amusements'.

perhaps the clue should be ‘journal of A wussy child’, to be consistent with the real title?
