3 secs to spare and using a laptop! Would've been faster with a numpad. The small percent of ones that don't make it to low numbers, maybe had something interrupt them (happens to me all the time).
Fun quiz! What I recommend for the fastest 68time is to avoid the number pad and swipe your finger across the top of the keyboard for 1-9, then use your two index fingers to count by tens after that (so, instead of making the tens digit the same, make the ones digit the same). What i mean is count from 1-10, then do 20, 30, 40, etc. then 11, 21, 31, etc. on until you reach 99, which you'll be doing last.
i suggest using the numbers on the side of the keyboard rather than the top. My method: do the single numbers first (1-9), then go back and do each single number twice to get 11,22,33,44,etc., then you type all the 10s (10 20 30 etc), then continue with the rest of the numbers (12, 13, 14,.....21, 23, 24,...etc) this way you wont mess up your rhythm by having to type a single key twice. Finish with 100
Easier if you have a keyboard (or keypad) with the 1-9 numbers in a 3x3 pattern rather than 1-9 horizontally.
19 seconds to spare is the best I can get to after much trying!
Finished with 27 seconds left. I have yet to make a perfect run with no typos. I know I can get it in 30 seconds if I can ever put together a perfect run with no typos.
BTW a 10 key number pad helps immensely with this one.
I somehow can't make it faster than with 21 seconds left. Basically just wipe over your Keyboard to get 1-9, than press the 11s and 22s and so on as fast as possible... Than you just start by putting one finger on the 1 and with the other finger you press the other keys. Just press 1 and the keys from 2 to 9 as fast as you can. Now you do the same with all the numbers. Just make sure you don't type in the 11s and 22s. SUCCESS!
It took me 8 attempts (plus a few false starts) to even get into the 90's. I'm a 39 yo man who's worked behind a computer for his entire adult llife, but then again, I've got a fantastic excuse for taking so long to get this far: 8 years ago i had a stroke that should have killed me
15 years ago I would have crushed this...
I figured out that you can slide your finger across the horizontal row of numbers (if you have one on your keyboard), then in the square-shaped keypad type everything else except doubles (11,22,33...) and 100, then type the doubles and 100 once you typed everything else down without typos, and if your typing isn't slow as molasses you'll get 100%
