I disagree. The US is a huge country with some states containing several large cities other than their capitols. I think it is perfectly understandable if you miss a city or two if you have not travelled much and if you live on the opposite end of the country from places like Penn. where you could easily mix up Philly and Pitt.

@Tobi: it's not about capitals in this quiz, it's about bis and important cities. I also live in Europe and know all coutries and capitals, but do you also know, where every city with a pop above 200,000 is located? I guess no...

And the average country in Europe is the size of a US state...I can name all the states and capitols, too, and I know all these cities and which states they are in, but knowing exactly which dot they are? not so much. (I only missed 3, 2 because I went against my gut and 1 because I was being stupid.)

It really makes me mad when people say "100% and I'm not from America." GOOD FOR YOU! I'm sure that if I tried I could get 100% on any other country, and in fact, I have! Why do non-Americans feel that need to go around bragging that they know our country? Honestly, why does it matter so much? Americans aren't stupid, in case you didn't know. So get that stupid stereotype out of your head. Please, thanks.

This WaS pretty easy to me, NY errors were just careless like clicking Denver when I meant to hit Dallas. What is scary to me is my daughter who's in 7th grade and has gotten AS and BS HER WHOLE LIFE IN SCHOOL DID HORRIBLY. They don't teach things like I used to have to learn. Anything I had to memorize...multiplication tables ,states , capitols, she he never had to learn.

When my daughter was in 7th grade, she had to make a poster glamorizing any president's famous program. I told about a few including FDR's New Deal and LBJ's Great Society. She worked on it for a couple of hours brought into my office and showed her wonderful poster which said A NEW SOCIETY! WHAT A GREAT DEAL!
