I suggest randomining the list from all 196 possible questions/answers (well 195 I guess since you can't ask what comes after Zimbabwe) so that questions change every time
When will countries and cities realize name changes wipe out all recognition they have on Earth and in historical accounts? The name change is generally to something that makes no sense in English as spelled, nor will it ever come out sounding remotely the same as it does in the native language. Third, if translation is needed for every single other thing being said....translate the place name too.
Name changes are often political, besides, it's not really true that if a nation changes its name all racords of its existence are erased, right? We still know about the USSR, Yugoslavia, Macedonia, etc.
I missed that one, too, but the name was changed last year. The Countries of the World quiz accepts both. And out of curiosity, I checked, and this quiz does too, though it is not quite logical to enter Swaziland as coming right after Estonia alphabetically!
I did not do that well, I have learned from alphabetical quizzes about countries that I am a very visual rememberer when it comes to countries and cities and so forth. I remember them easily from the map, but trying to think of them all in alpha order ... is very hard for me to do.
great little fun quiz! And for me...learning all the countries alphabetically, first time through, couldn't figure out what comes after Norway. Pretty sure Norway was the last N, tried all kinds of M's--wow! Need to go back to kindergarten!
Has Jetpunk always used Eswatini rather than Swaziland as the official answer? It seems to be the more "proper" name but since I always type the other answer I forget about that name (similar to Burma/Myanmar, I guess).
Does Curacao not count as a country? I know the UK is a country but so are its constituent parts. Does Curacao not function the same as a part of the Netherlands?

Still, no pleasing everyone and I learned something from a lesser score!
