Reading is not a city. Despite having a cathedral and being relatively large, it hasn't been granted city status. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reading,_Berkshire
Out of all the places on here you debate Reading. Have you seen the sizes of Stornoway or Aberystwyth? Though saying that size means nothing such as St Asaph and St David.
22, which I am fine with since I am not from the uk and only been there once, a few hours in london when I was 14 which is nearly 25 years ago.
Though I should have been able to get york and bristol aswell. Perhaps norwich. But I did get lincoln and wrexham (the first well, once you come across it you will remember it, I think i saw it on this site before and the second because I was looking in to something that was held there once as a possibility to go to, but it never happened, really surprised I managed to get that name). The next lowest one I got is blackpool which I expected to be much much higher. I knew it from strictly come dancing, but I have heard it being metnion as the beachresort over and over, millions of times. But I guess it is not famous for a soccer team or university or something. Which is what a lot of people use as their source of city-knowledge)
Surprised more people got Aberystwyth than Holyhead, considering the latter is a major shipping and ferry port. Also surprised Carlisle was so low considering it's the only city or major town North (west) of Lancaster.
One of the harder aspects of this quiz is the fact that there are sometimes other important towns that are very close to the ones that are included. For example, I tried Flint for Wrexham, Perth for Dundee and Ipswich for Colchester.
One day my home town will come up on a quiz. :-D Biggest town in Essex, though it is about to be upgraded to city status by Her Maj. Just sadly coincides with the local MP being murdered, I just hope it wasn’t given only for that reason.
