Part of Alaska was under control of the Japanese during WWII. It was not just Guam, Midway, etc.

what about nauru. also i looked on wikipedia and could not find where it lists modern day countries under japan, and i did find evidence that japan controlled parts of kiribati https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_occupation_of_the_Gilbert_Islands
