ID - Treatment for Infectious Disease

Name the first line medications (per clin med) used to treat the presentation of each condition. Information below explains formatting in depth.
The number of necessary treatments is indicated by, “(#)”. If not specified, only one treatment is necessary. When typing your answer, you must separate all necessary treatments with a plus sign, for ex.: “metronidazole + antitoxin”.
“Severe" refers to complicated or severe presentations, or disease in immunocompromised pt’s. For ex. “severe cryptococcocis pneumoniae” would cover meningoencephalitis secondary to cryptococcocis, as well as cryptococcocis in HIV+ patients, as these presentations generally cause more severe disease and require more aggressive treatments. If there is only a "severe" version of a disease, or the disease is not included in this quiz at all, then mild/standard presentations are often self-limiting or do not require significant treatment beyond supportive measures or OTC pharmaceuticals. For ex., “severe measles” is included in this quiz but “mild measles” is not, because measles only requires pharmaceutical intervention in severe disease states.
