Pedigree is more often used with domestic animals or cultured plants; I’ve never heard it in a phylogenetic context.

It is used quite often in genetic studies of all species -especially humans - in order to catalog the heritability of certain genetic traits. You're correct in that it is not used phylogenetically, but it is used for relationship analyses over shorter time periods (a few generations usually).
