Honestly, I've always found it strange how bad India and China are at soccer. You'd think that with over 1 billion people, they'd be able to scrounge up a decent 11-person team. And it's not as though soccer isn't popular in those places. There are probably institutional factors at play, but it's still sort of hard to understand how countries like Senegal manage to outshine India and China (as well as other countries on this list) so easily.
