Cool quiz but I would argue a person who "catches" animals would be a trapper and hunter would be someone who kills animals

A mason can do both. You can hire a mason to cut stones to shape for your wall, or hire a mason to make gargoyles for your mediaeval cathedral.

I thought a chandler was something to do with ropes and stuff? There's certainly a ship's chandler's on the seafront here in Scarborough.

Originally it was someone employed in a household to be in charge of candles and similar items. Later it became someone who made candles.

Suggest accepting the surnames Bowe and Bowman, either of which I believe are more common than Bowyer.
