This quiz made me lose sanity. I spent an hour of my night memorizing all of the ones in modern day Spain, where as before I could only get Cordoba, Catalonia, Madrid, and Seville. But seriously- cool map and idea! Nominated (oh, and I might've retook this quiz quite a lot to memorize....)!

Great quiz! However Château-Chinon passed to the house of Orléans-Longueville in 1517 so it was part of France in 1572

For the crown of Castile, realms were former independent christian (León, Navarra) or muslim (the rest) kingdoms and provinces were subdivisions of the proper kingdom of Castile.

For the crown of Aragon was the same, former muslim kingdoms (Majorca, Valencia) and christian kingdoms (Aragon and the italian kingdoms); Catalonia was a principality made from the catalan counties and a couple of marquisates.
