Nice quiz, but you really have to start recognizing Rock and Roll songs before the Beatle era. Zoom was a hit record by The Cadillacs in 1956. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah was hit in 1963 for Bobby-Sox-and the Bluejeans.

Firstly, thanks.

I'd like to mention that almost every of the recent quizzes (let's say the second half of the series) had at least one 50s song or older in it. I started making a list how often each decade is represented on the quizzes (starting with the 50s) to make sure they're all in (given I found a suitable song).

I assume the majority of people here tends to be born after the fifties, so they are inclined to know newer music better (I could be wrong though).

Back to your examples: Zip-a-dee-doo-dah is originally from a 40s film, so that's the (original) version/interpreter I included. The guy who made the 60s version named himself "Bob B. Soxx " with 2 "x", which would have been accepted already, but I'll add Sox as a type-in.

As for "Zoom", I've used Wikipedia as a source, they list various songs with that name, however The Cadillacs were not among them. But if you say it is a famous song, I'll happily add it as a type-in.

Thanks so much for responding. I can see that the majority of those playing these quizzes are much younger than me. My expert knowledge of music is the 1950's and early 1960's, which most of these people do not know. Growing up in New York City during the 50's, I was fortunate to listen to Alan Freed, who played a lot of Group and Harmony, today known as Doo-Wop. If you ever look up the Cadillacs on YOUTUBE, listen to their great songs. One of the best groups of all time. But thanks for your wonderful quizzes.

Sorry if my reply sounded a bit harsh, that wasn't my intention.

Thank you (and everyone else) very much for taking the quizzes, it was fun making them and it's even better to see people enjoying them.

Also, I checked out some of the songs you recommended (including The Cadillacs): it's not quite my type of music, but definitely not bad, and for sure better than a lot of todays music ;D
