There are a number of issues with this quiz. The capital of Bangladesh is Dhaka, not Dakar. The capital of Tanzania is Dodoma, not Dar es Salaam. The capital of Laos is misspelled (Vientiane, not Vietiane). The capital of Malta is misspelled (Valletta, not Valetta). The capital of Georgia is misspelled (Tbilisi, not Tbillsi). The capital of Djibouti is Djibouti, not Djibouti City. Also, none of the other capitals which is the name of the country + "city" (eg: Mexico City, Guatemala City) don't require the input "city" to complete, so this should be consistent across the quiz. The capital of Burundi changed in 2018 – it is now Gitega, not Bujumbura. The capital of Lithuania is misspelled (Vilnius, not Vilinus). The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte, not Colombo. I spent quite a long time learning to spell that, lmao.
I really like this quiz, so it would be awesome if you could fix these errors.
1) First learning all countries of the world and their location in the world map.
2) Afterwards you can learn all capitals. Use different tricks and associate capital names with different words, for example: Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea is near the country of Malawi.
3) Use features of the flags to remember them:
For Grenada I think of the little leaf as a grenade, Antigua or Kiribati have the sun, Eritrea or Vanuatu have the little grain, Mali and Guinea are near to each other and have similar flags. Find a creative way to remember these.
Worked for me, I know all countries, capitals and their flags now :)
Fun challenge, thanks. Taking quizzes like this makes me realize how much I've learned from my time on Jetpunk. Flags are a weak area for me, but I'm learning. I got 128/196; still lots of room for improvement, but five years ago I probably wouldn't have broken 100, if I even attempted the quiz.
