Nominated!!! you should add washington dc, it's also a first level subdivision of the US, (and has my utter condolence for not having a proper say in the senate or being allowed to make it's own laws. Pretty sad to treat your national capital like a minor)
It was to keep any state from controlling the capital. At the time, almost nobody lived there, so it wasn't a big issue. Now, though, they need to let D.C. people vote.
I'm curious how I got Saint Mary for Jamaica but not for Antigua and Barbuda. I assume there is some type-in that I hit for the Jamaica one that doesn't also trigger the one for Antigua, but it's confusing when looking at the answers list because I assumed I had already typed it in so didn't try it again.
Saint Mary, Jamaica has a slightly different type-in than Saint Mary, A&B because of Jamaican Creole, so you probably typed "San Mary" instead of "Saint Mary".
Knew some. Then got about half just guessing random saints (in English and Spanish) and city names in England and Spain. Catholics not the most original place namers.
I did the same thing, although I missed a few I should have remembered. I probably would never have thought of Eustatius, Cristobal, or Luis Potosi. There's a whole lotta saints out there.
Saba and Sint Eustatius being so rarely guessed, is quite surprising
