This one's a little Belgian centric, I apologize. With less than 0.2% of the world's population, it accounts for more than 11% of the questions on this quiz.
USA also doesn't make up 16% of the world's population, so for me, this quiz is fine. Bavaria makes up less than 20% of the German population and area, still "Bavaria" is an answer in almost every quiz about Germany. Besides "Gesundheit", "Führer", "Sauerkraut" and "Autobahn"
yes well that works, too. Popular convention in older cities was to name gates in city walls after the cities in the direction they were pointed at. Not sure if that's where Brandenburg Gate got its name from but seems plausible.
cut & paste: "The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin, built on the orders of Prussian king Frederick William II after the (temporarily) successful restoration of order during the early Batavian Revolution. One of the best-known landmarks of Germany, it was built on the site of a former city gate that marked the start of the road from Berlin to the town of Brandenburg an der Havel
So... what I said. So named because that's where the city gate going to Brandenburg was. I just didn't know which Brandenburg.
If you think it's too Belgian centric, then you might like to add Bengaluru, Bangladesh, Bengali or Brisbane. It's still a great quiz though I didn't got Brussels.

Bartender: Who would you be?
High Spade: High Spade Frankie Wilson... with a hyphen. That's what I sit on when I get tired.
