Great idea, although haven't some liberties been taken here? I can't find any link between "Proust" and valiant; Black is "dubh" in Gaelic as well.

Thanks for the comment! Some of these are only approximate translations for sure. The reasoning for the two names you've mentioned are as follows:

Proust is apparently from "preux" according to Behind the Surname. Carey -> Ciardha-> ciar=black
