Introduction
The moment has finally arrived- I've reached 2,000 takes! Or, of course, 1,999 to be more exact. Here is the HTML for the table when I started this blog:
Summary |
---|
# of Quizzes | 53 |
# Subscribers | 11 |
Times taken | 1,999 |
Quizmaker Rank | # 3,188 |
53 quizzes and eleven subscribers. As much as I care about takes, I purposely have few text quizzes. Oftentimes, I see users go up by a thousand takes in a week, all because they spammed low quality ones, and it truly disgusts me.
Instead, I like to go about making quizzes that are fun, creative, and/or challenging. While Save Asia by Guessing Countries has my most takes by far, I don't consider it to be more than mediocre. Instead, my favorite quiz from me is my most recent and third taken, Conquer Humanity by Guessing Countries.
Users who Helped Me Along the Way
- nichster and CringeDragon gave basic quiz advice that was a massive help
- GeoPhilia was one of the first who took my quizzes. He gave me advice and became my first subscriber, taking my quizzes since then.
- MG17 was a major inspiration for me, with blogs of golden information and formatting
- Pandora49 is an incredibly kind and generous user, who has made two subdivision maps as part of collaboration (Regions of Syria | Regions of Yemen). His blogs taught me basic HTML and encouraged me to learn how to make SVG's with a text editor.
- Just about the entire blogging community has been a major help, whether that be advice, constructive criticism, or compliments
Interesting facts and My Favorite Quizzes that I Think Might Contribute to JetPunk
Interestingly enough, my Italian Translation of Find the Mystery Country Using Color Clues has my second most takes and has appeared on the "Top Quizzes Today" page in Italian a couple of times. However, due to the correct answer's name, I wasn't so sure that most users were Italian until I checked the answer stats and saw many Italian names were towards the top. Below are my favorite quizzes from me, listed from most to least:
- Infinite Favorite This quiz will be released in a couple of weeks as part of a major project, and it looks absolutely amazing at the moment
- 1. Conquer Humanity by Guessing Countries
- 2. Hand-Drawn Map of Europe
- 3. Fill in the JetPunk Fish by Guessing Flags
- 4. Biggest Cities in Europe on a Map - with Exceptions
- 5. Texting Slang Series
Thanks and Final Notes
Thank you to anyone who helped me get to this small landmark, it has been such a delight to be on this site. Now I shall say what I said on a cheesy blog I deleted a while ago- JetPunk has amazing users who argue little. Now, before GrandOldMan comes in and says "Cyrpus...", those are are calm debates that mostly have no major emotions. Even the debates are joyful to read and contribute to. And how I got my start on JetPunk...
It was a sunny afternoon (classic...right?). I was bored and in third grade, 2016. I wanted to see how many country flags I could identify, so I searched that up and found the Sporcle quiz. It was quite annoying, but I figured it was the best thing out there. I could only get 20 right.
The next day, I tried to find it again, but I couldn't. Instead, I clicked on the next search result, or the JetPunk country flags quiz. I liked this site better, so I stayed on it. I then went through an on-and-off month, where I slowly mastered all of the flags. Eventually, I started exploring more quizzes on the site.
After spending another month mastering the Countries of the World Quiz, I started to explore more just out of curiosity and joyfulness. Within a couple of years, I was the best with geography in my school, and within another, I had well surpassed that milestone.
It is important to note that during this whole time period, I ignored the constant level 2 badge and create an account feature. That changed after the Summer after COVID-19 lock down. I was more bored than ever, and spending much time on JetPunk. When I finally decided to create my account on September 20th, 2020, I quickly advanced up to level 30.
A day in November, coincidentally exactly two months later on the 20th, I started to create quizzes. My first ones were kind of meh, and they only slowly got better. Now at level 56 and possibly on the day of five years of JetPunking (I remember it was somewhere in late March) , I have progressed so much from this clever, educational, and fun site.
So after all this is said, I may truly be thankful for everything. Thanks!
1. Use the HTML tag <ul>
2. I would go to the next line, and then use the HTML tag <li> to create and then </li> to end every bullet.
3. End the first HTML tag
Example:
<ul>
<li>I am creating...</li>
<li>...A bulleted list!</li>
</ul>
Result:
I am creating...
...A bulleted list!
Anyways, your quizzes are pretty great. I've nominated a few of them. It took me a long time to make it to the front page, but it ended up happening and I'd say many of your quizzes are better than anything I have... so I think you'll be able to pull it off one day. :) 'Til then, I'm looking forward to reading your blogs/comments!
