2045. Put Out the Fire of Terrorism

Excursus

After the withdrawal of troops from the Spartly Islands, the Chinese leadership faced a problem: the shameful "war" caused violent discontent among the population.

Discontent could be muted if defeat in the war was the only problem for Chinese citizens, but they piled on them like a lump. Mass layoffs of workers, economic downturn, falling incomes and rising prices.

In addition, events have shown that China has two new enemies — Russia and India, and India, as it turned out, is not afraid to conduct military operations against China. And if India's activity was understandable to the government, then Russia's behavior was doubtful, since Russia is far from being in a position to say "fi" to the Chinese — the European market is still difficult for Russia to access, so it depended on China.

And to all this, there is also a hole in the budget, the defeat of the army and shame on the world stage!

The people of China protested, and the first thing they demanded was to dismiss the government. Surprisingly, not a single member of the party spoke out against the line of the Council, although it was now in a very precarious position, and there was no better chance to find. Therefore, of course, no one listened to the opinion of the Chinese — all the protests were simply suppressed, and quite harshly.

Meanwhile, the countries' trade with China began to decline steadily: by the beginning of the second quarter of 2026, trade with the G20 countries was reduced:

With Indonesia: -7%

With South Korea: -10%

With Saudi Arabia: -11%

With Japan: -13%

With Australia: -14%

With India: -21%

With USA: -28%

With UK: -31%

With South Africa: -32%

With Turkey: -34%

With Germany: -36%

With Russia: -37%

With Canada: -40%

With EU: -43%

With Italy: -45%

With France: -47%

With Brazil: -55%

With Mexico: -58%

With Argentina: -79%

In addition, Chinese industrial giants have begun to open "large branches", in fact transferring enterprises to other countries where workers' wages are lower: Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, the PhilippinesForeign companies also began to slowly transfer their enterprises to other countries.

In addition, energy prices have soared: due to the reduction in trade with Russia, fuel problems have appeared, so purchases from Algeria, Iran, the United States and especially Saudi Arabia have increased. At the same time, trade with the United States and Saudi Arabia in other areas has sunk significantly.

But Russia also has problems: the loss of a large client, it was difficult for her to redirect her resources to other countries, so her income decreased. But by the June, 2026, Russia refocused on India, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and Japan.

Sep, 2026

September 20, 2026 —  Another UN session.

One of the announced topics was to be the anniversary of the end of the war in Syria, as well as a report on the work done to restore it and collect data on terrorism.

The words were given to the member countries of the Commission on Syrian Affairs in this order:

1. Syria

2. Argentina

3. Iran

4 Serbia

5. Russia

6. Ukraine

7. Italy

8. Iraq

9. Cuba

10. India

11. Egypt

The first to give the floor was Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Representatives of the USA, Poland, Germany, France, Israel, UK and Estonia demonstratively left, and the latter deliberately slammed the door loudly. And then, he started:

"— I would like to thank all the countries that provide all possible assistance. Unfortunately, there are not many of them, but it is important that they provide great assistance: they supply medicines, goods, clothes, destroy terrorists in advance, build houses, roads, schools, hospitals. Syria has been at war for 13 years, a terrible war, but our people and the world will unite and resurrect our country, I am sure of it."

The head of the Foreign Ministry spoke on behalf of Iraq. All the delegations that left the meeting returned. :

"— It wasn't politely". —Speaker made a remark. —"I would like to note that assistance is provided not only to Syria, but also to the affected areas of our country, of which there are many. Therefore, Iraq is zealously eager to help Syria and its people, because we ourselves have experienced the same thing. I would like to thank the countries that are helping us, Iraq and Syria, to get out of this situation, the amount of assistance we have received is much higher than expected. And it's not money, no — it's clothes, bread, canned food, bricks, cement, machinery. Bless you, those who provide us with such gratuitous assistance".

Its President himself spoke on behalf of the Federal Republic of Ukraine. The same delegations, as well as the delegations of Latvia and Lithuania, left the hall again (poor people, enter and exit):

"Syrians experienced 13 years of grief, Ukrainians experienced 10 years of grief. These years have drenched us in blood and tears, but now we will rise from their ashes.

Well, enough beautiful words, let's move on to the exact facts.

Now in Ukraine, my fellow citizens and our brothers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova are rebuilding entire districts and cities. Across Ukraine, 40% of all damage has already been repaired. Forty. But the war ended only a year ago.

In Syria, we, Ukrainians, are the victims themselves, helping people. Our country supplies what it can: 1 milion tons of grain, 220 thousands tons of poultry, 550 thousands tons of oil. And this is counting the fact that we ourselves are still in need!

This begs the question: where are the countries that supposedly cared about the freedom and well-being of our peoples? As soon as Ukraine overthrew the regime, the promised reconstruction plans were curtailed, and after that they didn't give us a cent. Are these states interested in the well-being of Syrians and Ukrainians? These countries themselves have shown that they are not."

UN Assembly. I sorry for the paucity of illustrations

The final speech was made by Abbas Kamel, head of the General Intelligence Service of Egypt. The delegations that left the meeting returned again.

"— I had a serious mission — to lead the coalition for intelligence and counterterrorism in Syria and Iraq. I can report that the situation is developing for the better: after the official end of the war, only 12 terrorist attacks were committed, much less than before.

But much more important work was the intelligence of terrorist financing. As you understand, ISIS and other terrorists needed to get money for weapons.

It is no secret that ISIS received large revenues from oil. But, as it turned out, the main source of income is foreign aid.

The work of a coalition of 126 countries has revealed three countries — the main sponsors of terrorism in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. These are Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan... "

"There is indisputable evidence in this regard, for example, the correspondence of one of the leaders of ISIS with the king of Saudi Arabia, or recorded financial transfers from Qatar."

These speeches caused outrage of the delegation of Saudi Arabia, and in a hurry one of the representatives said:

— We helped to withdraw Qatar!

The Egyptian delegate did not pay attention to this, and continued:

"It is possible to look at detailed documents and make sure. But 126 countries took part in the investigation, and each was convinced of the involvement of these States in the financing of terrorism.

Moreover, many terrorist attacks were organized by decree and with the help of these countries, for example, the terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015 were directed directly by the King of Saudi Arabia.

In view of this, at the initiative of the Egyptian side, we insist on imposing sanctions against Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan as hotbeds of Salafism and terrorism. At least until they radically change course".

After that, the UN resolution on the imposition of sanctions against Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan was read out, the provisions of which were:

 1. Travel ban

2. Prohibition on crossing borders

3. Ban on money transfers from and to other countries.

4. Hiring foreigners, even for remote work

5. Prohibition on the sale and purchase of weapons

6. Denuclearization of Pakistan

7. Prohibition of travel of officials

8. Confiscation of assets

9. Ban on the export of foreign electronic, computer, optical products, luxury goods to these countries

10. Prohibition of participation in international organizations

11. Ban on aviation flights

According to the results of the resolution, 167 countries were in favor, 10 counties abstained (Afghanistan, Albania, Bahrain, Brunei, India, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Turkey, Yemen), 3 countries were against (Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia), and 13 did not come. India proposed to allow citizens to cross the border, but this decision was not supported.

As a result, tough sanctions were imposed against Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for supporting terrorism, as was Poland in 2025.

The next day, all the points of the resolution were carried out. Many migrants in Qatar and Saudi Arabia from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan tried to return to their homeland, but absolutely all were refused "due to possible links with terrorists." Thousands of families have been separated by terrible, severe sanctions.

Most of Saudi Arabia's companies went bankrupt within a week, even oil companies.

The most important question was about oil trade: Saudi Arabia and Qatar were huge oil exporters, but it was oil that brought income to the regimes of the countries. Therefore, non-state oil companies were given the opportunity to trade, but observing sanctions against the government. In fact, the oil companies "split off" from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and the oil fields belonging to them came under the jurisdiction and protection of the UN.

The countries were surrounded by Blue Helmets, the borders were surrounded by peacekeeping bases and guards, even in desert zones.

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Qatar were deprived of the right to vote in the UN, excluded from the IOC, WTO, IMF, World Bank, OPEC and other organizations.

Resolution voting. Green — favor, yellow — abstained, red — against; blue — didn't vote

Conclusion

This was the second (or rather, the third) part of the story, I did not think that it would turn out to be so voluminous, because it is devoted to only one event. If there are suggestions that need to be corrected or supplemented, write in the comments, I will definitely take into account.
