Evidently spelling and punctuation do not have to be the same forwards and backwards for it to count as a palindrome either. The first palindrome sentence I ever learned was "madam, I'm Adam." The only one I know where the spelling and punctuation ARE the same both ways is "Rats live on no evil star."

Spelling’s pretty important. That’s kinda what makes it a palindrome.

No. Far more interesting is that an emordnilap is a word or sentence that spells a different word or sentence backwards, like "dog food lid".

For 100, define: "beers". Is that cans, bottles, pints...? Rest assured, I'm impressed. If they were American beers, then I'm horrified, because in Andre the Giant's lifetime, American beer was awful. Pleased to say that it's much better now.

There are other reasons why winning the lottery won't make you happy...

1. people who play the lottery typically are not very smart or educated, and are obviously poor money managers (buying lottery tickets being just about the worst way to spend ones money). This leads to all sorts of problems when they have a giant influx of cash, and that cash typically doesn't last as long as the problems it creates do.

2. friends and family trying to hit you up for money constantly; the resultant destruction and loss of personal relationships.

3. most people are not good at gaging what will or will not make them happy, leading to inefficient or even counter-productive use of the resources which could potentially make them happier.

4. they become the target of scam-artists, con-men, and other predators and ne'er-do-wells

5. happiness derived from wealth is often relative. If you stay in the trailer park you'll have more than your neighbors. Move to Malibu and you won't.
