The Oh-My-God particle was traveling at 99.99999999999999999999951% the speed of light when it was detected in 1991. Despite being a subatomic particle, it had an energy equivalent to a baseball being thrown at 58 miles per hour.

But what if, instead of being a single particle, it was a baseball? The answer: we wouldn't be standing here today. It would have vaporized the entire planet.

There is a Chinese poem, entitled "Shī-shì shí shī shǐ", that has 92 words - all of which are "shi". The poem is made comprehensible because Chinese is a tonal language - where the same word can be pronounced with many different tones. Supposedly, the poem makes much more sense in Cantonese than in Mandarin because Cantonese has more tones.

It may appear that Texas is bigger than France, but it is not due to the fact that Google doesn't include the territories (i.e. French Polynesia, French Guiana, St. Pierre & Miquelon, New Caledonia, et cetera) and so France is actually 10's of thousands of more square miles than Google says. France is also 10x more powerful than Texas, 10x more beautiful, and on a completely different continent. In many ways, France is bigger than Texas.
