Hmm, a shortcut through space-time that just looks here like a tube along the already shortest path through space. Poor artists have a helluva time trying to draw on 2-D paper a 3-D image of a 4-D concept!
Both are much less specific words. Why not allow 'woman' for the other photos of women? All I'm saying is that there are two very specific things in the image; a wormhole and a warp drive. It stands to reason that both be accepted answers.
I missed that one too. I would have probably gotten it with a picture of the court, but not with the trophy... but my knowledge of tennis is very limited. I learned something new.
Warp(speed) was my first try too, I think it is a fitting answer. After being surprised for a few seconds got it though. But the stripey lights really indicate warpspeed (in which case where they are travelling feels less important,)
I couldn't see what else but "winner" the woman brandishing the plate could be. To be able to guess that not only it's a tennis trophy, but Wimbledon specifically, feels like a bit of a stretch :-/. Otherwise, good quiz.
Well, it's a tennis trophy, and a famous one at that, but even if you don't know, it's probably a grad slam, which narrows it down to four, one of which begins with W. If you still don't know it, you don't know it. No point for you. Learn it. Move on.
Well, 84% of takers had no problem. Critique of a quiz is often reasonable, but this is simply whining because you didn't know the answer. This is an instantly recognizable trophy for many of us.
Xray, xylophone, xenophobia (picture of India/Pakistan wall or proposed US/Mexico wall), Xerxes, Xerox, Xmen, Xmas, x rated, xenon, xxx (jug of whisky), any more?
I have taken it upon myself to fill the gap in the series by doing a quiz for the letter X. See https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/178422/pictures-by-letter-x
I'm too English that I see a picture of a woman winning at Wimbledon and think the question must be harder than that... Thinking Stefi Graf, no, and running through tennis players.
And the point of a wonton is to be filled. And dumpling is not a W word. I don't get your problem.
