Let's see... Santorini is an island, kudos. Ibiza is an island. Bali is an island. Phuket is an island. Capri is an island. Not to mention Montego Bay that is ON an island (Jamaica). Your point exactly is what?

The title of this quiz says 'Towns'. So, unless, these islands share their names with famous Resort Towns, there must be something wrong.

Well, Montego Bay is part of an island country, but is a town, Ibiza is an island, but is also the name of the main town on said island, and the same goes for Phuket, and Capri. Also, in Bali's case, the town given is not Bali, but Denpaser, a town on the island of Bali. The point, you may ask, THERE IS NO TOWN CALLED SANTORINI, so please change that to Fira or Oia, and if that's too hard, give one of those town's names, and put Santorini in brakets like you did with Bali.

Phuket Town is definitely not a resort town. Even though the town is probably larger than the entire island of Santorini. Can't speak to the others, those are the only two I've been to.

Kuta would probably make more sense than Denpasar. It might be sort of obscure, but chances are, if you've been to Bali as a tourist, you're way more likely to say you stayed in Kuta than Denpasar.

Capri is also an island but it is part of Italy.

I think the point was that an island isn't the same thing as a town.

Nice quiz. Only 14/20 I'd never heard of some of these. I'm surprised many people didn't know Yalta...Yalta conference in WWII??

I couldn't figure out why Colorado wasn't working for Aspen. When I realized what I did I was hitting myself. Then I did the same thing with BC for Whistler. I should go to bed.

We could go the Burma/Myanmar route and just refuse to accept the change...

Or we could accept the fact that Russia took control of it and Crimea is now Russian territory. Which, by the way, happened 4 years ago.

Just to clear things: Santorini (or Thyra as it is the Greek name) is yes an island but it also constitutes the Municipality of Thyra (aka Santorini, santorini.gr). Capri is an island but also the Municipality of Capri (cittadicapri.it). Ibiza's capital city is also called Ibiza. The capital of the island of Phuket is called Phuket. Finally, for Bali, the definition includes Denpasar, which is the capital. Been to 3 of the 4 places and I can assure you they are pretty well known tourist destinations. Do people really not have access to Google or are saying things just for the sake of saying something?

Phuket Town is not a resort town. The resort towns on the island of Phuket include Patong, Kamala, Karon, and several others, but not Phuket Town. There is no municipality called simply "Phuket," either. Is your google not working today, either?

Let's see, who should we trust? The guy who has actually visited the place a dozen different times? Or the guy who's only information came from a 5 second google search and a stub article on wikipedia?

At least in Greece, a municipality is not the same as (or necessarily named after) a town or village. If you look at the "Villages" section on the site you mentioned, you'll see that no village on the island is called "Santorini".

think we all know what the question meant. just remove the word "towns" and leave "resorts"

Based on my visit, I wouldn't call Denpasar a "resort". Pick another location on Bali.

Got them all with 1 second remaining. Right on the whistle got Cabo San Lucas which I've never heard of. Got quite a few guessing on the sound of the name.

Bariloche in Argentina should be here, every year it receives thousands of teens from all the country that are celebrating their graduation. It's also the top destination for Brazilians to go skiing, as they don't have any snow in their country.
