Price-earnings ratio
The capital raised by a business or corporation through the issue and subscription of shares.
Stock
A unit of ownership interest in a corporation or financial asset.
Share
A sum of money a company pays regularly (typically annually) to its shareholders out of its profits (or reserves).
Dividend
A sum of money saved or made available for a particular purpose.

Mutual fund
An investment program funded by shareholders that trades in diversified holdings and is professionally managed. EBIT = Operating revenues - Operating expenses; EBIT = Net Income + Interest + Tax
Earnings before interest & tax
A company's total earnings (or profit). NI = Total Revenue - Business Expenses - Tax
Net income
For a share it refers to the stock value stated in the corporate charter, and it is also a bond's original value when it is first issued. Also known as the face value.
