Were They Elected?

For each of these national leaders, select whether they were elected to their position of power, or if they came to power some other way.
For this quiz's purposes, we will consider "being elected" as either being a party's leader during a parliamentary election or someone who is directly elected as leader.
Sham elections, political trickery, or otherwise unorthodox methods of obtaining power will not be regarded as a leader being elected.
