Some of these are hard because it may have multiple synonyms in English that still don't mean exactly what it does in German. Some, like heißen, are in a passive tense without a real direct word in English. I never would've listed a lot of these if I had to do a list of most common German verbs. Even the Most Common English Verbs / Nouns / Words quizzes really threw me off.
