i tried "gambling" and "betting" but neither worked. on a whim, i typed "illegal" and suddenly "gambling" registered as the answer. i think you've got a glitch.

I didnt know the mafia was into the sport of Fencing....have they won any Olympic medals yet?? Talking about sports, you should include "match fixing" here!

Interesting question! Looking at Wikipedia's articles on each, it seems that racketeering is a wider term that includes activities such as extortion.

Yes, I believe racketeering is the maintenance of a business to carry out various illegal activities. It's fine to have a construction company, but it's racketeering if that construction company is used primarily to facilitate crimes.
