Can you type the first 2 letters of each country in 90 seconds? They'll have to be the ones of the "full jetpunk name" shown in the Countries of the World quiz!
To make it, you must type 202 characters, corresponding to 26.9 Words per Minute
This is doable if you work on it. Its not really a test of your ability to name all the countries just speed at entering a variety of letters. I didn't do very well but what I did get was just entering, ae, as, at, al, au, and so on.
I think just the opposite; it's not about how many you can name to me, its how fast you can think of the name. I looked at the countries and entered the first two letters, and even if i waste my time entering the first two letters of only one country, like rw (versus the first two of many countries, like you did) I would still do pretty good.
Think you know the countries like the back of your hand? Try seeing if you can list them in reverse alphabetical order with my new quiz, Countries of the World Z-A: https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/284204/countries-of-the-world-z-a
So I counted 99 different pairs of letters, give or take. I don't think that's doable in 90 seconds, unless you forget about countries and just memorize every pair.
I agree. I felt the same and to prove it, created a list of all the 2-letter combos necessary to complete the quiz. Even with the list I barley could type them in all fast enough, and I'm not a terrible typist.
I'm a terrible typist and did it without a list after 5 tries with 3 seconds remaining, I don't think a list would have helped me either. Just another thing to concentrate on.
Not surprised that those are the most and least guessed for singles and multiples; Russia is huge so it catches you eye and you type RU but the Vatican and Vanuatu are tiny and harder to see in the panic of 90 seconds

i will master this quiz.. i only got 136 on my first try.. im so used to typing in the whole country name so screws me up i will have left over letters lol
The K's are actually easy, as all you have to remember is the K is followed by ALL vowels (KAzakhstan, KEnya, KIribati, KOsovo, KUwait and KYrgyzstan), the only letter where that works :)
After trying many, many times, I finally got every country with 4 seconds remaining. I usually got 190+ but was missing some countries like Luxembourg and Trinidad and Tobago (since you can barely see them on the map) and only got them after looking at the results
You just have to develop a system for catching the ones you always miss. I always start with KIMITREA to get Kiribati, Micronesia, Trinidad/Tobago and East Timor, then fill in the small European countries (Vatican, San Marino, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Malta), Cyprus and Kuwait (the other ones I miss most often).
Best strategy for me: Western Europe starting from Portugal > Central > Northern>Balkans > Middle East > West Asia (...stan) > Central Asia > SE Easia > Oceania > Central America > South America > Rest of Africa.
I've tried it a gazillion times, and best time was 10 seconds remaining. But I've managed to win it after 50 or so tries...
So, the description is actually fallacious. Unless you take the pairs of letters and combine them to make other, larger words you have to type at a speed of over 60 wpm. It is definitely faster than 23 wpm, because taken as individual pairs they must each be considered a single word. My best so far is 159 and that is after 25 tries. Stating the obvious, but this quiz is quite challenging.
So this is a typing test, not a knowledge-based test. Wow! I so wish I was a 120 word-per-minute typist. This type of test is nothing to do with a quiz, its a physical ability test.
I cant beat this one for the life of me😢 I go back and remember stuff so I can learn and retake it till I get 100 percent. My score is perfect on every quiz ive taken except for a few of timed ones like this. This is a really great quiz though!!!
gotta practice some more
