Stars must be clearly visible on a thumbnail image of the flag, so flags where tiny images appear as a part of the coats-of-arms of some countries (Costa Rica, Croatia, Equatorial Guinea, Paraguay and Slovenia) are omitted
By "star", we mean far away twinkly ones, not our own sun!
It would be helpful if you put the answers in decreasing order of number of stars instead of alphabetically. Also, in my opinion, the "non-countries" are unnecessary.
Oh didn't see that at first, but Nepal's flag still has stars, whether they represent the sun or not. for example, the stars on Malaysia and the Marshall Islands flag also represent the sun, but that doesn't mean they aren't still star shaped. (I'm not 100% sure on the Malaysia one but still) But it's also your quiz and should go by your standards.
To be honest, it was a bit of a tough call whether to include the sun (which obviously is represented differently from other stars on flags). Either way, we knew people would suggest the other way!
