Words That Rhyme With "Sioux"

One-syllable words only.

There are so many possible words that I made some executive decisions. I tried to get only words that are really in use in English (even if they were borrowed), with no abbreviations or proper names, which is why "Sioux" didn't make it (except as the seed word, of course). I expect there will be things you consider omitted or not valid. I am open to suggestions.

Is there an English word bleu? I only know it as French for blue and it doesn’t rhyme with Sioux in French.

Fun quiz! But isn't roux a french loan word?

Yup. Do any cooks want to chime in as to whether you think roux is "really in use in English"?

I think this quiz is not quite right with the phonetics. There are some diphthongs that don't actually rhyme with each other. "Pew" and "to" do not rhyme. "Pew" has a diphthong (I think) whereas "to" does not. Consider how "poo" and "pew" have pretty obviously different vowel sounds. On the other hand, there aren't hard and fast rules for what a rhyme actually is, so it's just my thought on it. :)

To all of you posting two-syllable words in the comments, you really didn't read the rules enough.

I think slough should work too. I don't know about the pronunciation where you live, but at least rhymes in Canada
